| Kempton Park, with it's close proximity to O R Tambo
International Airport, formerly Johannesburg International Airport,
has a number of fine accommodation establishments on offer to
cater for the growing demand of inbound traffic into Johannesburg
and Gauteng. Chamonix Guest Lodge , situated in Kempton Park about 8
km from the airport, is proud to be part of the 'Proudly
South African' campaign and being host to South Africans
and nations from around the world. |

| The latest addition to Kempton Park, completed
in October 2004, is the ultra modern 'Festival Mall'
comprising close to a hundred retail outlets, including restaurants,
supermarkets, banks, fashion outlets and even a flee market
and a very popular ice skating rink. |

| Located right opposite the 'Festival Mall'
is the Kempton Park Country Club with it's 18 hole, par
72 golf course. Of moderate difficulty, this is the place where
Ernie Els started his carreer, now arguably one of the best
golfers in the world. |

| Erikson's Diamond Mall, a beautifully restored
old building with quaint little shops added around, offers precious
stones and jewellery at resonable prices and features in it's
additions the 'Madiba Freedom Museum' which deals with
issues such as apartheid and resistance; South Africa's
watershed years; negotiations and the nation; election fever;
national symbols and so on... |

| Interesting to be seen will be the 'Africa
Theme Park' to be completed by October 2008 just outside
Kempton Park. The proposed park, to be built to the tune of
over 4 billion Rand will be the biggest entertainment complex
on the African continent. It will boost three hotels, entertainment
areas, shopping malls and residential areas among others. It
is expected that over 2.5 million people will visit the park
annually. |
